This is my first posting! I am so excited about launching redletterdaybags.com as a spot for people to learn about Red Letter Day, see my work, and maybe even buy something! I hope you enjoy taking a look around.
I want to take a moment to talk about what a great community I have found on blogs, Pinterest, and Twitter of folks who sew and are willing to share what they know. The generosity of spirit that exists in this sewing community is pretty unbelievable. People share ideas, tutorials, even their own patterns on their blogs and through Pinterest. Seeing all these awesome women sewing (and more often than not caring for their families at the same time) and making a career out of it, has given me such a boost of confidence as I start on this new journey. So I hope you all will keep sharing and will find something of value in my posts in the weeks and months to come.
p.s. Here are some of my favorite sewing blogs if you are looking for inspiration. What are yours?
Jessica Christian at www.craftinessisnotoptional.com - She has fantastic ideas, patterns, style and the cutest dang kids!
Caroline Hulse at www.sewcaroline.com - Whenever I want to find a great new dress pattern or some motivation to sew something, I head over to her site. Great style!
Kelle Boyd at www.annkelle.com - LOVE her fabrics and I am inspired by the feel and look of what she does.
Jess Abbott at www.mesewcrazy.com - Best round-up of patterns, and this gal seems like she is having a great time which just makes you so happy!
